![]() ![]() They can be generated in LEGO Digital Designer by creating a building guide and then saving it as an HTM file. Parts lists are very handy when it comes to building LEGO brick models. To see the full list of parts used, simply move to the end of the HTML document (by pressing the end button). Step-by-step building instructions for the model can be viewed by browsing through the HTML document and can also be printed. To open the document in a different browser (Microsoft Edge, for example, doesn’t show the images very well), the first file in the same directory can be used. Step 3 – Scroll down to the parts listĪfter the HTML document has been saved, it will automatically open in the default browser. Because 1 file and a directory will be created, rather create and save the files in a new, empty directory. LDD will prompt to save an HTML document to a location on your hard drive. To do this, click on the HTML button on the top left of the screen. While in Building guide mode, LDD gives the option to convert and save the guide as an HTML document. Alternatively, Build mode can be toggled by pressing the F5 key and Building guide mode by pressing the F7 key. To toggle between the building guide and the build view, the Building guide mode and Build mode toggle buttons on the top right of the screen can be used. After it has been generated by LDD, it can be saved with the file. Since I have a Technic Snowmobile, I been playing with the LDD to see what I can create using the new Snowmobile parts - including the new red fenders. This week, there are some new library added to LEGO Digital Designer. LDD has all the parts that comes with NXT Retail kit. LDD is a great computer aided design tool for designing your robots and creating building instructions for others. If you visit the LEGO’s NXTLog web site regularly you would notice that increasing numbers of models now have a LXF file created with LEGO Digital Designer (LDD).
